Linn County Jail Roster Records

The official adult custody list is the Linn County Sheriff's Office Current Adults in Custody roster. Linn County uses the term Adult in Custody, or AIC, for adults held in the jail. The roster says it is updated several times a day and lets the public click an AIC name for more information. The visible public list shows each person's name, a local ID in parentheses, and age. It is a current-custody roster, not a full archive of every past booking.

The adult jail is operated by the Linn County Sheriff's Office Corrections Division at the sheriff and jail campus in Albany. Local arrests by Albany, Lebanon, Sweet Home, Brownsville, Millersburg, and other municipal agencies route to the Linn County Jail when the person is lodged instead of cited or released. The public roster is therefore the main county-level search path for adult pretrial detainees and local sentenced offenders. The youth facilities in Albany do not use this adult roster.

Use Linn County Inmate Search

A useful search starts with spelling, then broadens. The sheriff roster has one text field, so a full last name can work, but a partial name may be better when the person's middle name, hyphenation, or spelling is uncertain. The public page did not publish wildcard rules or a minimum-character rule. If the roster returns no match, check the separate official county portal at inmatesearch.linncounty.org, which has a captcha front door, then move to phone or records channels.

1. Open the Current Adults in Custody roster on the sheriff's website.
2. Check the last-updated line because the Linn County jail roster changes through the day.
3. Enter the name in the Search for box, or browse the full current list.
4. Click the AIC name and ID link to open the public profile.
5. Read date lodged, arresting agency, charges, docket, court/security, bail or no-bail status, and release-status fields.
6. If there is no current match, call the jail information line at 541-967-3901 or check state, federal, immigration, VISOR, and court systems.

Linn County Roster Search Fields

The roster field set is narrow, which helps explain why a missing result can happen. There is no public dropdown for facility, charge type, booking date, arresting agency, or housing unit on the inspected roster. The public search is meant to find current AIC entries, not to build a full criminal-history report.

The separate county inmate-search portal was visible only to its JavaScript and captcha front door during research. It showed dark mode, text-size controls, captcha refresh and audio icons, and a Submit button. Because downstream fields were not visible, the sheriff's roster remains the clearest official field source.

Linn County AIC Profile Fields

A public AIC profile can be more useful than the list view because it separates booking identity fields from the charge table. A sample profile inspected on June 25, 2026 showed the person's name, local ID, age, date lodged, arresting agency, scheduled release date field, and charge rows. Each charge row can include a docket or agency reference, charge release date column, court/security field, bail or security value, and status.

Do not expect the Linn County inmate record to show every field that appears in commercial search products. The inspected public profile did not show a booking photo, sex, race, height, weight, hair color, eye color, housing unit, booking time, warrant number, judge, or full statute code.

Linn County Inmate Record Fallbacks

The access-channel chain matters because a roster search is only one slice of the custody picture. The jail roster covers current adult county custody. The jail phone line can help with local booking questions when the roster is down, recently updated, or unclear. Written sheriff records requests are the route for copies of eligible law-enforcement and booking-related records. OJCIN and court records show the formal case after charges are filed. ODOC and VISOR cover state custody or supervision. BOP and ICE cover federal and immigration custody.

Request Linn County Booking Records

The Linn County Sheriff's Office records page requires all record requests to be in writing on the Request for Copies of Records form. The request can be brought to the Sheriff's Office, mailed, faxed to 541-967-8169, or emailed to Records_Reports@linnsheriff.org. The page says more detail can reduce processing time. If a report is still under investigation, only limited information may be available. Payment is handled after invoice by check, cash, debit, or credit.

Current web fees list law-enforcement reports and general records at $12 for the first 25 pages and $0.25 for each additional single-sided page. Rich media photos, audio, or video start at $10 for the first 15 minutes of staff process time, with extra staff time and redaction time charged separately. A mug shot for ID purposes is listed at $5, but Oregon law restricts public booking-photo release, so a fee line is not a promise that every requester can receive a photo.

Linn County Booking Timeline

Linn County does not publish a full adult booking manual, so the local facts should be read from roster fields and sheriff pages. The public profile shows date lodged, arresting agency, charges, docket, court/security, bail or security, and status. After arrest or court remand, jail staff enter custody data, classify the person, and place the adult in an appropriate housing area. The roster may show the person after booking data is entered and the public list refreshes.

Phone access begins after admission within reasonable limits. The sheriff's telephone page says AICs may use phones to contact family, friends, or an attorney unless intake forms have not been completed because of disruptive behavior. Incoming calls are not accepted. Calls time out after 20 minutes and may be monitored or recorded, except protected attorney communication where applicable.

Linn County Jail Visiting Records

Visitation is tied to housing, approved visitor lists, and appointment rules. AICs may have up to six approved visitors at a time and may update the list on the first day of each month. Appointments are made by calling 541-812-9212 the day before the desired visit during the published visiting-line hours. Visitors must arrive 15 minutes early with government photo ID. Each AIC may receive no more than two hours of visits per week, and each visit is limited to 30 minutes.

The schedule is organized by housing group, which is why a roster record may not give enough information to select a visiting time without jail confirmation.

Linn County Bail and Money

Linn County changed bail handling effective April 7, 2026. The jail accepts direct bail only by certified cashier's check, and the check must be payable to the court that set bail. Circuit Court bail is paid at the courthouse during courthouse hours, with the jail accepting it only after hours, on weekends, and federal holidays. Albany Municipal Court follows the same courthouse-first pattern. Linn Justice Court warrant bail may be paid at the jail at any time, payable to Linn County Justice Court. Out-of-county or out-of-state warrant bail must be verified with the jail before buying a cashier's check.

If Linn County Records Are Missing

A missing roster entry can mean release, transfer, a spelling problem, a new booking not yet refreshed, youth custody, state prison custody, federal custody, immigration custody, or a court-only record. For formal charges after a jail arrest, use Oregon court channels rather than the jail roster. The Linn County Circuit Court record process asks for a case number when known and permits "unknown" where a requester cannot find it. OJCIN Online provides Oregon circuit court register access, while Justice Court has its own written request process for the lower-level matters it handles.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office app is another public-safety channel, with Apple and Google listings that advertise reports, tips, interactive features, and news. The store text did not confirm an inmate roster or warrant search, so the app should not be treated as an app-only inmate lookup.
