Linn County Jail Capacity History
The county jail's size has changed several times. The older courthouse jail had 24 beds and had been used since 1939. The current jail opened in May 1989 with 114 beds. A 2024 county commissioners item also allowed the Sheriff's Office to seek construction-manager services for an adult female jail expansion that would add 22 beds. The research did not identify a current overcrowding order or consent decree for the Linn County Jail.

A sample public profile inspected in the research showed name, age, date lodged, arresting agency, scheduled release date if any, charges, docket, court/security, bail or security values, and charge status. It did not show a mugshot, date of birth, sex, race, height, weight, hair or eye color, housing unit, warrant number, judge, or full statute code.
Linn County Custody Lookup Paths

The Oregon Department of Corrections lists 12 adult prison facilities in Oregon, and the research did not locate an adult ODOC prison inside Linn County.
